How to Paint the Ocean

How to Paint the Ocean Easily! Painting the ocean can be done either by depicting still calm water such as in an evening scene with a lone sailboat in the moonlight or by depicting restless waves crashing along the rocky shoreline. When people think of painting the ocean they often think to paint ripply blue movements of paint. The key to painting realistic water is to focus on using the correct color of paint and the correct brushstroke.

Painting Still Water - To get the effect of still water in a daytime scene you want to have the water contain the same color as the sky. It does not have to be exact but it should be similar. Don't be afraid to use green, burnt sienna and purple in the blue to create dramatic shading. Water along shorelines appears darker, so you would want to darken it up with the colors mentioned. Remember that deep water in an evening ocean scene would probably contain very little blue and would appear mostly green. As you add color don't blend it completely, let the variations show. In order for the water to appear still, keep the brush strokes short and horizontal. Of course if the scene is depicting a completely still ocean you could allow the strokes to become longer but again, keep them horizontal. One last tip for still water realism is to paint the reflections of ships, lighthouses, etc in the waters.

Painting Restless or Rough Water - The movement of waves crashing against the shore always enhances a painting. You will first under-paint with the main water color. A nice dark mixture of green, blue and burnt sienna works nicely. As you paint it in, let the variations of color show. The choppy brushstrokes will create the illusion of movement. When you are done, use a lighter version of the mixture and stroke in some wave action. This will look like wavy lines. Don't make them all the way across the painting. Do some here and there. The closer that you work toward the front of the painting make the wavy lines larger or more up and down. To create the effect of splashes, use white and gently dab it along the wavy line. If you want the wave to get larger, dab the white higher on the line. Again, don't keep it continuous. If the line looks too awkward, just paint over it with the main water color. With the liner brush, now take white and with curved strokes pull a few streaks down the wave and into the water.  You should really study other paintings or photos and try to mimic what you see. If the scene has a shoreline or rocks, you can create very dramatic splashes by dabbing white basically wherever the water hits the rocks.

There are dozens of ocean scene variations and it would be untrue if anyone told you that you could only paint water a certain way. The best way to learn is by following tutorials and practicing.  Don't be afraid to experiment and don't forget to focus on using the correct colors and brush strokes.

What is the Best Makeup to Hide Fine Lines and Wrinkles

Searching for the best makeup to hide fine lines and wrinkles is sometimes an easy job. In fact, you should know a few things about this problem before you start searching for a solution.

Let's face it: everyone hates wrinkles. It doesn't matter if they are just some barely visible fine lines or rough wrinkles; you want to forget them as soon as possible. Many people think that an easy way to do this is by covering the problem with makeup. Why does this happen? The reason is simple.

Makeup

We are thought to think that makeup is perfect for hiding defects. When you go to bed at night, you can take off your makeup and no one will see your flaws. This is a great strategy in theory, but it has some disadvantages. Firstly, there are many make up products which will hurt your skin. This way, you will not only have to cover your wrinkles, but potential rashes and other defects. The second disadvantage of using even the best makeup to hide fine lines and wrinkles is that it won't solve your problem.

Many people use makeup because they think that wrinkles can't be treated. This is exactly why they prefer covering them instead of using a natural skin cream which can solve the problem without repercussions. How can a skin cream work? It's easier than you might think.

With the right proteins, your body will clear the wrinkles in a matter of days and a good skin care cream will make you produce more collagen and elastin. After a few treatments, you will see the results. Unlike other options, skin care creams can be cheaper than makeup and it can have permanent results with no disadvantages.

Basically, the only thing that you need to do for solving wrinkle problems is to find a natural cream. Get started with the internet and you will be able to notice a few natural ingredients which have been verified scientifically. Unlike with makeup, your face will always be safe and the problem will get a fast and reliable solution, without too much effort.

What's the Difference Between Mineral Makeup and Regular Makeup?

The latest buzz in the beauty industry would without a doubt be the emergence of mineral make-up. Primarily as a foundation, you can also find mineral makeup in blush and eyeshadow formulations as well.

The main difference between mineral and regular makeup is in the ingredients used to create the product and that most mineral makeup is in powder form. Of course other factors such as how it looks on your skin and the added natural benefits are a reason it is becoming such a hit with beauty shoppers.

Makeup

While most mineral cosmetics claim to be made with natural or safe ingredients, it is still important to read the ingredient list as some companies may include some chemical compounds. If at all possible, avoid paraben preservatives and choose only 100% certified organic mineral makeup.

Another benefit is that the makeup offers a natural sun protection. While not as high as your SPF 15+'s, it still provides adequate cover if you are just going shopping or out and about during the day.

It doesn't clog pores which is great news for those with oily or problem skin, and depending how it is applied can also minimize the appearance of fine lines and imperfections.

Women of all ages and skin types (even sensitive) can use mineral makeup although those with dry skin may need to use a moisturizing lotion underneath their foundation.

Because it generally comes in powder form it needs to be applied with a brush, but a damp sponge can also work giving a heavier finish. Blending in a circular motion usually gives the best look.

Another reason that many people are choosing it over regular cosmetics is that it gives a very natural 'no makeup' look. It makes you look if you have perfectly flawless skin when that may not really be the case at all!

Tracey is the health and beauty editor of Lazy Spa Girl and uses only certified organic mineral makeup.

The Genetic Makeup of American Rottweilers

Most people do not realize that there are two types of Rottweilers. This is because there is very little difference between the two. The two types of Rottweilers are the American Rottweiler and the German Rottweiler. The German Rottweiler is shorter, stockier and more muscular than the American Rottweiler. The American Rottweiler is taller and thinner through the face and body.

Both the American Rottweiler and the German Rottweiler are black with distinct tan markings over both eyes, cheeks, muzzle and chest. Both have coats that are medium length, coarse and straight and both have a double undercoat.

Makeup

The American Rottweiler is very protective of its owner and their possessions so make very good guard dogs. They have a great sense of humor and are happiest when performing a task. These dogs are sometimes called gentle bears by their owners because of their loving personalities. The male American Rottweiler ranges between eighty-five and one hundred thirty-five pounds and the female between sixty and one hundred pounds.

The American Rottweiler is becoming known as an excellent therapy dog and is becoming very well known with the physically challenged. He is a very intelligent dog and a hard working dog. He aims to please and is happiest when performing a task. However, these dogs can be stubborn and need to be trained and socialized at a very early age.

If obedience training does not occur at an early age the American Rottweiler can become a bully and will have other undesirable behavioral problems. These dogs excel in sports such as herding, carting, flyball and agility. The American Rottweiler is a relatively healthy dog breed. He tends towards hip dysplasia, as do other large dog breeds and he in the last few decades has a tendency toward cancer. If any moles or lumps should suddenly appear on his body it is imperative that you take him to the vet and have it checked out thoroughly.

Reputable American Rottweiler breeders should not be difficult to locate. They can normally be found on the Internet, through recommendations from other Rottweiler owners, through your veterinarian and from the American Kennel Club. These breeders should be socializing their puppies with their own families to get them customized to humans. They should be able to answer all of your questions about the breed and will normally turn the tables on you and ask you many questions to see if you are ready to own an American Rottweiler.

There are German Rottweiler breeders and American Rottweiler breeders and if you have done your homework sufficiently, you will know the distinct difference between the two. Having a discussion with the breeder about the two types of Rottweilers is a good idea.

These dogs make great pets and because of their size will become excellent guard dogs. They are not aware of their size and when their humor comes through it is quite silly.

Sharon Davies has been asked to speak at many charitable events benefiting animal rescue shelters. Rottweiler types working as guard dogs will give you a taste of their strong personalities. The grooming of American Rottweilers can be found in any book with Rottweiler information.

Facials and Makeup for Brides - How to Best Prepare for Your Wedding

No matter how much you try to scrub, wash and moisturize your face and body prior to your wedding day, without professional knowledge and products you can't possibly make much difference. It can be so disappointing to see flaws in your skin when you receive your wedding photos, and the best way to avoid it happening to you is to have a skin plan for preparing for your big day.

Starting right now, the first and most important thing to do is increase your water intake. Keep bottled water everywhere: in the fridge, in the car, on your desk, by the bed and in the bathroom. Every time you see the water, have a drink, and the benefits will be seen after only one week. Continue drinking around two liters of water per day, and avoid alcohol and sugary foods or drinks. Exercise is also fantastic for the way your skin looks, and nothing will achieve the healthy glow like regular visits to the gym and good food.

Makeup

There are some natural things you can do at home to help skin problems, and these can be done regularly every night. For open pores, blackheads and problem skin a great solution is to rub half a tomato over your face, chest and neck, leaving it on for fifteen minutes. The acid in the tomato along with antioxidants are great for balancing and cleaning clogged pores. For tough, thick skin you can use ground rock salt and avocado for a facial scrub, but if your skin is fragile this is not recommended. For a gentler scrub soak some oats in a bowl of warm water for a minute or two, using them before they become completely soft. Rub the oats in a circular motion for five minutes over your whole face, neck and chest, softly removing dead skin cells and soothing any irritations. If you have very bad blackheads you can use colorless, odorless iodine mixed with rock salt to scrub. Only scrub it on the areas that are toughened with a lot of blocked pores, and do it for the moths coming up to the wedding. Stop one month before, or when your beautician recommends.

You should definitely include in your wedding budget some visits to a beautician, and this is where the planning comes in to it. Any good beauty therapist will offer a free skin analysis to potential customers, and the sooner you have that the better. Through evaluation and discussions about what you would like to achieve with your skin, you can work out a schedule for ensuring you achieve your goal by the wedding day. It could possibly involve some micro-dermbrasion, chemical peels or simply regular visits for facials. The added bonus is you get to talk in length about how you want your makeup and hair to be for the day, as well as any waxing or manicure plans.

Never compromise on your beauty requirements for the wedding: no matter how many times your man tells you that you are fine the way you are and he doesn't want anything fancy, every man appreciates the fantasy when he sees you looking more beautiful than ever. It is a day you have always dreamed of, so make it a dream come true! Wedding photos where the bride has gone to little or no effort with make-up look horribly drab and boring. If you can't look beautiful on the most important day for your future life, when can you? Splurge and hire a professional beauty therapist to do your face, and go through a basic practice run with them prior to the day to make sure you like what they have in mind for you.

If you look after your skin at home and follow a plan for improvement with the beauty therapist, you should have the result of looking your best on your special day. Don't look at your photos with pangs of regret because you didn't do anything about it at the time, and include it in part of your overall plans, like ordering caterers and booking the church. You will have a much better time when you are feeling confident and beautiful, so go on and treat yourself, and if you are lucky your husband will love it so much he will be happy for you to go regularly.

Removing Skunk Smell From a Dog - Is It Possible?

Removing skunk smell from a dog might sound like a funny title to someone who has not been faced with this problem. However, since you are reading this you are probably experiencing this. Removing skunk smell from a dog can be virtually impossible, unless you know the exact way to do this. The reason is, mercaptans are a group of organic chemicals, which form a strong bond with natural fibers and are impossible to clean, unless you counteract with the chemical.

The skunk secretions have a very profound effect on humans, even in extremely low concentrations, and if your dog has been sprayed by a skunk do not kid yourself - the amount of one spraying is enough to "infect" more than 1000 dogs with a very strong chemical makeup. That's because of the extreme sensitivity of the human nose to mercaptans. Fortunately, the problem can still be resolved quite easily with commonly found household items. We will discuss this later.

Makeup

If you live in the United States, skunks are commonly found outside of houses and can present a huge problem, despite the funniness which most people associate to this issue. If a skunk sprayed your outside door or house, the problem can be resolved more easily, but when it is on a dog the soft fibers absorb some of the chemicals, and that's why many people go to their final resort - shaving the dog completely. That is very dangerous, and not recommended as there are easier ways to deal with this problem. The first thing that people try is usually washing the dog with soap and water. Here is why that doesn't work - hair fibers absorb moisture, and when they are sprayed by a skunk they absorb tiny amount of the chemicals. When you wash the dog, the problem becomes worse, because chemicals are forced deeper into the hair's. Removing skunk smell from even a flat surface can present quite a challenge, which you probably know already.

The problem is not only cosmetic - the mercaptans tend to irritate the dog, as dogs have hundreds of times stronger sense of smell than humans. You can imagine how a dog will feel like, given that sensitivity to the poison. The problem is bigger when you have a smaller and more sensitive dog, which you cannot keep outside the house for long, because of the cold. Until you apply a solution for the skunk smell, keeping the dog soaped with water is a good measure, since the layer of water will block the smell temporarily.

Kitchen Cabinet Paint Ideas - Are Glazed Kitchen Cabinets DIY Friendly?

Who wouldn't love the look of glazed kitchen cabinets boasting a touch of vanilla bean over the raw naked maple which is exposed on the edges. While antique painting kitchen cabinets is a hot trend, the price tag associated with this style is not. It is out of range for many who are hoping to update the look of their kitchen- not rack up debt to the tune of the price of a luxury vehicle.

The kitchen cabinet paint ideas discussed in this article will help you achieve the look of transforming your kitchen from blah to amazing.

Paint

Glazing kitchen cabinets gives the newly painted kitchen cabinet an older look which is very trendy now. It also complements the look of your kitchen, while muting the modern look of stainless steel which is so popular in kitchens today.

The one thing to remember with glazed kitchen cabinets is it is not a textbook process. It is one that takes a certain flair for artistry when deciding where and how much glaze to remove to achieve the 'aged' look. Before you panic, remember it is also a very forgiving process. Glazing kitchen cabinets allows one to wipe the slate clean if you don't like the look and start over. Just make sure to work quickly before the glaze begins to dry.

Basically the steps involved are mixing the paint and glaze together to
achieve the color you desire, apply the glaze to the door and wipe off as little or as much as you choose. Let paint dry thoroughly and move onto the cabinet drawers and bases performing the same steps. Let everything dry at least a day to assure the surfaces are not tacky when rehanging doors. For free, detailed step by step instructions in the glazing process, click the link in the resource box below.

Things to keep in mind when painting or staining your kitchen are as follows. Remember your kitchen will not be 100% functional again until the entire project is completed. Do you have a place to prepare and store food and dishes during this time? Plan ahead and decide where you will be doing this. Remember that you will be removing your kitchen cabinet doors from their frame and will probably have then laid out throughout your kitchen to apply paint and dry, unless you have an enclosed garage or workshop this can be done in during the summer months.

Check the surface of the cabinets you are working with. What techniques have been done previously to these? If they've been stained or a urethane coat has been applied you must first apply a base coat of a special primer-sealer to ensure adhesion of the paint you are applying.

If you prefer a more weathered look in your glazing treatment, apply the glaze compound after the paint is fully dried. For this treatment it is recommended to use a light base coat of paint and a darker glaze. Always apply glaze first then a little at a time apply the dark paint color until you reach the desired consistency and color. It's better to go light by adding a little at a time than to add a lot of color right away. When removing the glaze mixture with a rag leave additional glaze in corners to achieve the aged old world look.

To finish off the look, update your kitchen cabinets with new hardware to set the tone for the style you are portraying in your kitchen. Before you know it you will have a kitchen that looks like a million bucks for not alot of bucks!

How to Cure Anemia Naturally

Those who suffer from Anemia either have a reduced number of red blood cells or a reduced amount of hemoglobin (the component of red blood cells that attaches to oxygen and transports it in the blood). Since there is less oxygen available to the cells in the body, Anemics have less energy to perform normal functions. The most common cause of Anemia is iron deficiency... iron is used to make hemoglobin. Most Anemics are on medication for life. We are interested in fixing the nutritional deficiencies underlying the condition to heal the ailment completely.

Iron is a trace mineral of vital importance to the body. Although there is only about a teaspoon of it in your body at any one time, it is essential in the formation of Hemoglobin, the red pigment of blood. There are two types of iron: Heme and Non-Heme. Now, Heme is more easily absorbed by the gastro-intestinal tract (10-30%) while Non-Heme is only about1-10% absorbed. Heme is available in the tissues of animals. That's right, the more available source of iron is found in meats and dairy than in plants. But we suggest only obtaining your iron from vegetable sources. Why?

Makeup

The interesting fact is that despite a less absorbable form of iron, vegetarians are no more likely to suffer from iron deficiency than non-vegetarians. Draper and Wheeler have stated there is no indication of increased prevalence of iron deficiency amongst vegetarians. Anderson found the iron status of long-term vegetarian women to be adequate, despite a high intake of fiber and phytate which INHIBITS the absorption of iron!

In fact, because iron can be stored in the body, too much iron can cause problems. Too much iron consumption leads to the production of free radicals (a molecule with an extra electron that will steal a negatively charged hydrogen electron from DNA, tissues, or organs which causes disease and aging). High levels of iron have also been found in association with heart disease and cancer. The buildup of iron in the tissues has been associated with a rare disease known as hemochromatosis, a hereditary disorder of iron metabolism that causes bronze skin pigmentation, cirrhosis of the liver, diabetes, and heart disorders. All of this leads us to the conclusion that despite animal foods, you should never get your iron from a supplement. First, the pill will not have all of the other organic nutrients (copper, manganese, molybdenum, Vitamin A, and the B complex) necessary to absorb the iron safely. Second, in pills, you will get something like ferrous oxide (oxidized iron: In other words, RUST).

Symptoms:

Weakness, fatigue, overall pallor, dizziness, pale lips and eyelids, depression, pale and brittle nails, and coldness of the extremities

Recommendations:

  • An all natural whole food supplement can be helpful. VITAFORCE(TM) is extremely abundant in organic iron and has extraordinary blood building properties. Iron is up to 16 times more absorbable if taken with Vitamin C and this is properly balanced naturally in VITAFORCE(TM). It is also extremely rich in all the other nutrients necessary for healthy blood.
  • If you are anemic, then drink juices rich in chlorophyll. Chlorophyll is responsible for the green pigment in plants (called the "blood" of plants). Chlorophyll has almost the exact same chemical makeup of hemoglobin (less one iron molecule), both are responsible for carrying oxygen in the blood. Since the chemical makeup is almost identical, chlorophyll can quickly and easily be converted to hemoglobin. If the juices are rich in organic iron, then you have all the qualities for a blood transfusion. For example, the fresh organic juice of carrots, beets and beet greens dramatically increases the red blood cell count in the body. Dark leafy vegetables and especially They have extraordinary blood-building properties.
  • Other foods that contain iron are asparagus, bananas, beets, dulse, kelp, whole grains (esp. millet & kamut), leafy greens, raisins, parsley, peas, plums, squash, prunes, purple grapes, broccoli, and yams.

Things to Avoid:

  • All inorganic supplemental forms of iron; none of the iron supplements use organic iron, so you cannot absorb any of it and it gets pissed away or lodged in your tissues where it can cause disease.
  • Caffeine and tannins (in tea), and calcium inhibit iron absorption. So, avoid coffee and tea.
  • Beer, candy bars, dairy products (milk, cheese, butter, ice cream, etc...), and soft drinks. Additives in these foods interfere with the absorption of iron.
  • Foods containing oxalic acids inhibit the absorption of iron. Eat only in moderate amounts; almonds, cashews, chocolate, cocoa, soda, and most nuts and beans.

Tree Structure - The Basic Makeup of Trees

Trees are made up of three main components: the roots, the leaves and the woody structure that connects them. The function of the roots is to bring the water and minerals to the rest of the tree. The leaves also serve to feed the tree. They absorb carbon dioxide from the air and use sunlight to combine this gas with the moisture brought up from the roots, making the simple sugars which feed the tree giving off oxygen as a byproduct.

That is the true magic of trees; they feed off of a toxic gas and provide clean oxygen in return. They are truly the earths air filter. According to David Nowak of the USDA Forest Service a persons oxygen needs could be supplied by two trees. To make up for the carbon dioxide created by the average household with a single car would take about 1/6th of an acre of trees (so start planting).

Makeup

The woody structure, including the trunk, branches and twigs hold the trees leaves in position to receive the life-giving sunlight and carbon dioxide; they also act as a means of carrying the raw materials and nutrients back and forth between the roots and the leaves. The moisture taken up by the roots is pulled up by a process of capillary attraction and the osmotic action induced by the evaporation of water from the leaves. This loss of water through the leaves is called transpiration.

On a warm summer day, a single birch tree may transpire as much as 900 gallons of water. This enormous flow of water causes a continuous flow of tree sap from the roots of the tree to the uppermost leaves.

When moving a tree or working around an existing tree that you wish to preserve, the highest priority is to protect the root structure of the tree itself. The larger roots at the trunk anchor the tree to the ground and stabilize it, while the small root-hairs at the ends of the rootlets absorb the water from the ground.

The trunk of a tree is made up of the bark, the wood and the pith. The pith is the middle section surrounded by the wood. Between the wood and exterior bark is a thin layer that creates new wood on the inside and bark on the outside. This layer is known as the cambium layer. When the cambium ring is severed the tree is killed, such as when a fence wire is wrapped around a tree and wears through the bark. Damage to the cambium layer also makes a tree vulnerable to insects and disease, so anything driven into it can wound a tree severely.

Besides man himself, trees have many natural enemies. There are more than 200,000 known insects that attack trees. Diseases, such as blight, rust, and rot, just to name a few can cause tremendous amounts of damage to trees or groupings of trees. High winds, ice storms and droughts can also create a great deal of havoc with trees. Fortunately, trees have several thing going for them. They are extremely resilient and can survive even serious damage, storms and droughts are not terribly common and birds ally themselves with tree to keep most of the insects in check.

Acrylic Portrait Painting - Learning to Paint

Painting, people, takes practice. Painting people or portraits in acrylics is done by painting in layers. While you are building these layers, you may be tempted to give up too soon. As long as the features are placed correctly, painting portraits in acrylic just takes layers and patience.

How to get the person's feature correctly drawn.

Paint

Getting the person's features correctly is the most important first step in portrait painting. I suggest using the grid methods to do this. In this example, you are painting from a photo or picture. Use a pencil and lightly draw a grid with equal squares on the painting surface. Use another grid and place over the photo. The grid you use over the photo will likely be a much smaller one. On your canvas, within each square draw the lines of what you see. If you want even more accuracy, you can draw smaller squares within squares. When your drawing is accurate, you can erase the grid lines.

How to get the foundation of the portrait started.

Step number two is the foundation. The foundation involves using a thinned layer of paint for the person's skin tone. The consistence of this paint should be like watercolor. This is the under painting. Dilute the flesh colored paint with water and establish the entire skin area. You will add layer upon layer until you have built your shadows or highlights. The way that you do this is to reduce the amount of water that you add or just use the paint full strength. You should be able to see the pencil lines of the facial features. Now, use a darker flesh color and paint in the facial feature lines. Think of this stage as painting in the lines like a coloring book. After you paint in the features of the eyes, eyebrows, nose, nostrils and mouth you can work on the final layers of the finished painting.

Final layers and details in a portrait.

It is the final layers of the painting that bring it to life. Study your reference photo and notice where the shadows are. Layer by layer add the shadows. Because you are painting a portrait, don't be afraid to add red, and even blue to mimic flesh color. Add some highlights to make features appear to protrude. For example, notice on the nose, there is usually very bright highlights. To indicate the roundness of cheeks, chins and the center of the forehead, use a few layers of whitened flesh color to add these very important highlights. The last bit may be a touch of pure white.

The last thing to do in a portrait should be your final pure white highlights. Usually a person's lips are moist and have a touch of pure white. There is almost always a touch of pure white in a persons' eye where the light is reflecting. Remember painting people takes practice. Painting people or portraits in acrylics is done by painting in layers. Don't get frustrated if your first few portraits aren't what you expected. You will more than likely need to practice and practice. Have fun and enjoy learning to paint.

Makeup Tips For Green Eyes

Green eyes are really fun to work with. They have such a wide color range from turqouise to chartreuse to forest green to bright light green and on and on.

These tips are designed for the magority of green eyes, but of course there are exceptions to every rule. My best advice is to try every color that you're interested in. You'll be surprised what looks good.

Makeup

Choosing An Eyeshadow

These colors are some of the most popular for green eyes.

Try different browns, especially chocolate tones. Browns and dark greens with copper or gold highlights are also a great choice.

Apricots and taupes are good choices for highlighters.

Dark purples, plums and metallics work too. Coppers and golds will make a really glamorous evening look for makeup tips for green eyes. I personally really like the way deep purples look with dark green eyes.

Colors To Avoid

When you're learning makeup tips for green eyes, it also helps to know what colors you might want to avoid.

First up, blues. Any color of blue doesn't do green eyes justice. I would recommend avoiding light blues, dark blues and even some colors (purples or pinks) with blue undertones.

Pinks are also a hard color to judge. Some can look really, really good and others can look really, really bad. This is usually a matter of trial and error.

Silvers are not a good choice either. Leave them for the blue eyes.

Eyeliner Colors

Unless you really like black eyeliner, it's usually a color to avoid. Try steely grays or chocolate browns. Use gold or white to open up the eye if your eyes are small.

The Rule Of Thumb

A good rule of thumb when choosing a color for makeup tips for green eyes is to focus on warm colors and avoid cool colors.

Like I said, there are exceptions to every rule, but this should provide a nearly fail-safe method for choosing eyeshadow colors to bring out the beauty of your green eyes.

The Application

How you apply your eyeshadow depends how many colors you're wearing and what the occasion is.

For basic every day wear, here's what you do.

1. Apply a highlighter like crystalline to the entire eye from the bottom of the crease to the eyebrow.

2. Use a taupe or apricot next and apply it to the whole eyelid and blend it just above the crease with the crystalline.

3. Then use your third color (chocolate brown, dark green, copper, etc.) and apply it one of two ways:

a. Apply it from the middle of your eyelid from the eyelash to just above the crease. Blend it well. You can even blend it under the lower lashes for a more dramatic look.

b. Apply it from the inner corner of your eyelid and sweep it out to the outer corner of your eye. It will get thicker the further out you go. Blend well.

4. Apply eyeliner and mascara as you normally would.

And there you go! Great makeup tips for green eyes.

Stop Squeezing Your Pimples - 7 Safe Ways to Get Rid of Pimples

It's everyone's worst nightmare. Waking up the day before a
special event to discover a big, red pimple baring itself for all
to see right on your face!

Here's how to get rid of it quickly and safely:

Makeup

1. Don't ever pinch, squeeze or pick at a pimple. This only
causes it to become more red and inflamed, and will spread the
bacteria and oils that caused it in the first place, to other
parts of your face! It can also lead to scars.

2. Every 30 minutes, apply an ice pack to the pimple and hold it
there for about 2 minutes. This will decrease the swelling and
redness and help shrink the inflammation and pain that sometimes
comes along with it.

3. They don't call it concealer for nothing! Covering the pimple
with a light dose of flesh-tinted concealer can help mask it when
you're in a hurry. It also helps cover up that oily shine.

4. Cleanse your skin 2-3 times a day with mild, unscented soap or
a specialized acne cleanser that has no harsh chemicals (such as
lye). Scrub skin gently with an exfoliating pad or washcloth, but
don't rub too hard, otherwise you'll sap your skin of its own
natural oils, which help to repel buildup naturally.

5. Apply a cream or ointment containing benzyl peroxide or
salicylic acid (many over-the-counter acne medicines contain
these ingredients) to the blemish or around the entire facial
area. Note that these ingredients both have a tendency to dry
out skin if used too much and are not recommended if you have
sensitive skin.

6. Wear oil-free makeup whenever possible. These types have less
of a tendency to cause the pore buildup that results in
blemishes. Remove your makeup nightly and cleanse with an
acne-fighting medicine to remove dirt, oil and makeup from deep
within the skin.

7. If you're in need of a quick fix, a dab of toothpaste on the
affected area right before bed can help soothe irritation and
reduce redness. Pressing and holding a wet tea bag or a cotton
ball with a dab of lemon juice against the blemish for five
minutes can also reduce swelling and redness.

If you follow these tips, chances are you'll notice a significant
difference rather quickly - often within a day or two. If
pimples become a recurring problem or worsen, your doctor or
dermatologist can suggest a daily skin cleansing routine that
will suit your skin type. Other long-term remedies, such as
facial masks, diet adjustments and increasing the amount of water
you drink can also help combat outbreaks.
